“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
~ Albert Einstein
What an auspicious day to launch our new website – you might even call it bashert (meant to be). Albert Einstein would have been 137 years old today, and he certainly would have been proud of our aim to fulfill his words quoted above every day at Albert Einstein Academy.
When we started our effort to build a new website last fall, our intention was to have it be a reflection of the school’s core values. We believe we’ve accomplished that and more. Have a look around, and you’ll notice a focus on our Dual Language Program, our strong academics, and the warm, friendly environment at Einstein.
At the same time, any website is a work in progress and must evolve, changing to meet the needs of the community it serves. As part of that community, we’re certain you’ll have ideas, “should haves,” and “why didn’t you?” questions. You will probably find errors, and you may even dislike some of the choices we made. With that in mind, we ask that you remember where we were, how far we have come, and that you be patient with us as we get our new website to where we want it to be. In the words of Albert Einstein, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
Special thanks to Janie Truitt and Donna Harlev for their help in getting us from vision to reality, and to Sharon Kaplan for the “Core Values” graphic.
By the way, 137 is a prime number. Seems a fitting birthday to launch our primary school’s website www.einsteinday.org, doesn’t it?
